Sims 3 Building Guides | Bathroom Under The Stairs

That awkward space underneath the stars in Sims 3.

 Sims 3 stairs need a lot of space, both at the bottom and at the top. This means that you often have some empty room not quite under the stairs, but in the small area in front of them. At the bare minimum this space will be a 1 x 2 area, but it can easily be expanded to a 1 x3, 2 x 2 or larger, depending on the type of stairs you use and how you place them.

The space 'wasted' by stairs can be put to good use. It is the perfect place to put a second (or first) bathroom for your sims. The under the stairs nook can also be used as a small Harry Potter-esque bedroom.

If you don't want to close the area off, you can also use it to put a small love seat couch, giving your sims valuable extra sitting space.

Using a double stair instead of a single will make your sim's home feel grander and more luxurious, plus it will give you more room when you're making your little under stair nook room.
